Do you suffer from nauseas?
This is a very common illness that could affect anyone who is currently going through a medical treatment with medicines for headache or stress, for example.
Pregnant women and those who are going through their menstrual period are the most likely to experience said discomfort. This happens due to the hormonal change in their bodies. Other people who often suffer from nauseas are patients going through chemotherapy. The medication used in this treatment lowers the patient’s immunity, making them vulnerable to nauseas and other discomforts.
The good news for those who suffer with constant nausea is that a Cannabis based treatment is being analyzed, researched, and applied in some tests. Some people are already turning to CBD to help with the symptoms of nausea.
A study done by the University of New Mexico (UNM) has demonstrated that patients who made use of CBD, and were suffering from nauseas, showed an almost instant improvement, taking from 5 to 60 minutes for the medication to have its effect.
The positive numbers increased after two hours of consuming the product.
In a study published by the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, researchers reported a statistically significant number of patients that had symptoms relief in the first five minutes. And the number grew with time.
According to the author, Sarah Smith, Assistant Professor at UNM, the study revealed that 96,4% of the samples reported relief of nausea’s symptoms within one hour.
Studies like this demonstrate the already well-known positive effects of Medicinal Cannabis. This type of medication is already being used to help on the treatment of many other illnesses and is easily adaptable with the specific protocols prescribed by physicians.
It is still important, however, to always check what is causing nausea’s symptoms and if it is related to a different disease. In some cases, it is essential that your physician is aware of your use of cannabidiol so he can determine if it could do any harm to your treatment.
